Do You Hear What I Hear? – Writing Contest #74

The Christmas spirit is alive in Narnia and Christmas music is in the air. Some creative Narnians have decided to change up the lyrics for fun. What sorts of things will they be singing this year?

Example: “Let It Snow” by Karnia
Though the weather outside is frightful,
dear Aslan will make it delightful.
The White Witch has made it snow:
make her go, make her go, make her go!

Don’t forget to check out the winners of the last contest!

Honorable Mentions:

“Jingle Bells” by AGB
Jingle Bells
Edmund smells
Lucy is a brat
Caspian’s strange
And very deranged
And I’m turning Reep into a hat!

“Turkish Delight” by Hiking Peter
Mr. Beaver sings merrily: “We all like Turkish De-light, we all like Turkish De-light, we ALL like Turkish De-light, so bring some out here!”

“Jingle Bells” by Lilliandil
Jingle bells
Ed can’t spell
I rescued a stray
Pete got mad at Su again
And this all happened today!

“The Narnians’ Farewell Speech to Caspian” by AGB
We wish you a merry journey
We wish you a healthy journey
We wish you a happy journey…
Please come back alive!

And the winner is…

“We Kings of Narnia Are” by Hiking Peter
Sung in two part harmony (quite beautifully too) by Edmund and Peter: “We two kings of Narnia are….Bearing gifts we got from sir Claus. Field and fountain, icy river, following yonder bea-ver.”
