By Always Narnian

You may recall the announcement we made last year about the new square to be created in Belfast as part of the Connswater Community Greenway project. This square was to be inspired by C.S. Lewis and his works. (If you wish to refresh your memory, check out the announcement we made previously.)

Now, we have news of that project moving further, with artist Maurice Harron taking care of the new artistic displays—six Narnia sculptures that are to go inside the square. The sculptures being designed are based on Aslan, the White Witch, Mr. Tumnus, the Beavers, Jewel, and the Stone Table. Harron is quoted as having said about the project, “I want to recreate the emotions within Lewis’ world, so that – like Lucy, Edmund, Peter and Susan – you never quite know what’s around the corner.”
