Due to the timing differences between the worlds, the world of Narnia is running a little behind in running their Olympics this year, but what’s to stop it from proceeding anyway? Hi, I’m Ariel_of_Narnia of Azim Balda Broadcasting. I’m on location at Bernstead, Avra, The Lone Islands, surrounded by quite the variety of contestants here — from Talking Beasts to spirits, from Galmians to Telmarines, from those as early as the Dawn of Time to those as late as the End of Time — all gathered here for the 2016 Olympic Tournament.

The games kicked off with the classic sport of javelin-throwing. Many contestants entered this event from nearly every country, but few were as favoured as Prince Rabadash of Calormen and General Oreius of Narnia. It was a close contest — I’ve never seen a crowd so taken by javelin! It clearly affected the contestants as well as there was even a bit of drama on the stands today: the bronze medal would have gone to Prince Rabadash of Calormen, but due to unsportsmanlike conduct (which we won’t be reporting here, though there are surely clips available on NarniaTube), he was disqualified.

In the end, bronze went to King Caspian X of Narnia, silver to General Oreius of Narnia, and in an unexpected turn of events, the gold medal was awarded to Glenstorm of Narnia. Congratulations to the winners and good luck to the athletes who will be competing in the coming days!
