Chat Events
  • Writing Group - Mon, May. 19 Monday, 6:30 P.M. Pacific Time

Chat Room Rules:

  1. Names: Pick a name and stick with it. It should be clean, family-friendly, and not longer than two words.
  2. Don't interrupt if you see that there is a serious discussion or conversation underway. Don't try to change the subject constantly if the conversation is boring you.
  3. When you ask someone a question, don't keep repeating yourself if they don't answer right away.
  4. When in the chat room alone, please do not spam randomness, and limit your posts to two or 3 until someone comes in.
  5. Scheduled chat events have priority over personal chatting.
  6. No roleplaying in the chat room. Dressing up is generally limited to our scheduled costume parties.
  7. Try to be quiet when staff has something they need to say. Sometimes our time is limited and we have to get it out. Then you can comment.
  8. Listen to staff. If they ask you to do something, please don't argue or pout. We're not trying to spoil your fun, we're doing this so the chat is fun for everyone.
  9. Only staff or senior members may change the topic.
  10. No AIM speak please. It confuses everyone, and is hard to understand. Use full words.
  11. Use capitalization wisely: Using all caps is the internet equivalent of shouting
  12. All beta/writing chat must be limited to Monday night writing group, and to the writer's chat room.
