This one's called "Love." It's written to all of the people who say that Christians are racist/homophobic/mysoginistic/whatever else.
Voices swirl through the world
Trying to convince me
What is right
And wrong.
"It feels good;
It isn't hurting anyone.
Why not?"
"Why not?"
You ask me this question
With a smirk
and an eyebrow
Daring me to tell you
That you're wrong.
The joke is on you.
You're wrong.
Your assumption,
The one that God
Is fake
And you
Are right and
"A good person"
Will end badly.
For you.
See,
I don't tell you that you're wrong
Because I want to be right.
I tell you you're wrong
Because I love you.
"But you don't know me."
When did not knowing someone
Ever
Stop a Christian from loving them?
I love you
Unconditionally,
Without knowing you,
Because of Jesus.
"But you hate--"
I don't know this word.
I know
Love.
Those people
Who I supposedly
"Hate"
Are the ones I love the most.
Because
They're the farthest gone.
I love you.
And you.
And you.
And you.
Even you, who I said was so far gone.
I love you
Because God loves you.
Why would he make you
If he didn't
Love you?
Unconditionally,
And with knowing you.
He knows you.
And loves you.
So the voices mayn't stop swirling
And trying to tell me
"This is wrong
And this is right."
They'll keep asking
"Why not?"
And I'll keep saying,
"Because:
Love."Statistics: Posted by albero1 — Fri Oct 02, 2015 12:35 am
