Re: This is the Chat Thread. Proceed to Chat.
We're trying out a new forum, folks. Posts have been transferred over and anything new added here may be lost. The new forum does not have pm capability, at least yet, but you should be able to retrieve old pms here for a little while yet. We're still shuffling some things around but you can find th...

Re: What readest thou?
Still working on the novel that was compared to Narnia. I'm deep enough in that I think I'm comfortable referencing it by name. It's called A Soul as Cold as Frost. After a teenage girl has a glowing orb shoved into her hands on the street, she finds herself able to see another wintry world peeking ...

Re: Logos Theatre's The Horse and His Boy in D.C.
This is really not-to-be-missed theatre. If I could see one show, I'd see this again. I've been to some wonderful Broadway performances, but what a delightful evening the performance in South Carolina was.

Re: What readest thou?
Gonna try a middle grade story about a magical bakery. It's called Bliss. And there's another one that's self-published but seems to have a lot of positive reviews and be likened to Narnia, so I'll give that a try and post the title if I like it.

Hi Taralyn! Good to see you again! The Horse and His Boy is still my favorite. By all means, ladies, chat away.

Re: What have you been watching?
Been rewatching The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles with a friend. An often-forgotten series that is still a lot of fun. Watched Attack of the Clones for Perch's birthday. He hadn't seen it before. (Well, technically it was the night before his birthday. On his birthday we started reading Fellowship ...

Re: Favourite aspects of the Walden Films
So now that I've spent half an hour responding to posts three years old, I wanted to offer my love for the Set and Prop design in Walden's "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe". I was working on some Narnian papercrafts today and I so love to draw from Weta's designs when making crafts, b...

Re: Favourite aspects of the Walden Films
The animated film of LWW that came out in 1979 also replaced the voice actors for Mr. Beaver, Jadis and a couple of other characters when it was finally released in the UK. I know some folks don't like the film, yet it's one of my all time favourites due to the extremely reverent way Aslan's resurr...

Re: Favourite aspects of the Walden Films
"The World Ash Tree"? What on Earth? (As you can see, I've not read the American edition. I knew about Fenris Ulf and Dark Island, but the World Ash Tree is brand new information to me.) Ha, glad I could make you guys laugh. :) When the new Companion to Narnia came out with its Narnian co...
