Re: What would you do if...

Knowing my unhealthy anger style, I'd try my utmost to keep my cool, but eventually I'd snap, lose my temper and do a Prince Corin Thunderfist....in other words, knock him down! WWYDI you discover your pet is actually a Talking Beast....when he/she gets mad and starts telling you off in no uncertai...

Re: Kidrash Tarkaan (Aravis' Dad)

Then again, Swanwhite, in a culture where young brides are basically treated as a commodity, if Aravis's father had been in negotiations with the Grand Vizier about giving his daughter in marriage and he stood to gain great wealth for himself through the marriage, he might have had to make some very...

Re: Kidrash Tarkaan (Aravis' Dad)

Esprit, I think both of your first two suggestions would go well together in a strange way, if narniagirl wanted to make him a more complex character, even though at first glance the traits of wanting everyone to respect him and being a weak-willed man might seem to contradict each other. Re: The Problem of Aravis

....He looks at the heart and cares too much to let the disease go untreated. That's a beautiful way of putting it Swanwhite. It was only too easy for me to say that Aravis's punishment was justified, and that it would serve Asheesh right if he was held responsible for Shasta and Bree escaping. But...

Re: The Problem of Aravis

Lily: - I pretty much agree with most of what you said, however perhaps because she was snobbish because of her upbringing and circumstances, the influences of her upbringing would have been so strong that it would have taken an equally strong lesson to help shake off those influences. And while Ara...

Re: Charn

Quote from Lily of Archenland on August 1, 2013, 06:34 .....I'd give equal credit to the possibility that a woman who would go out of her way to uncover a kill-all weapon, is the sort of woman who is interested in taking or maintaining power whether or not she particularly hates the competition. De...

Re: How to Ride an Owl

I think it would make sense to give the owl his dinner before getting on so as to avoid them having to make dangerous plunges and swoops to catch a bat. At least it's not so scary when a horse stops mid-ride to enjoy a snack, as happened when I first learned to ride one, except it might be annoying ...
