Re: Non-Narnian Fan Art

Grogu and Morph is a glorious combination I won't be able to get out of my head now. :D

Re: Cair Paravel's ruins

Thanks for looking that up! So it's Middle English and Welsh, not Old English. :D Which is... about typical of the veracity of what the Narnia Wiki usually says. I could swear half the stuff up there is just someone's headcanon. (If anyone has the thoroughness and discretion of research that sort of...

Re: We Can’t Fall Any Further, We Cannot Reach Any Higher

Chapter 1 Sleeping Akin to Beasts (Narnia, 6 years after the Battle of Anvard)   It started as a loud screeching sound of uncertain origins, quickly followed by the crash of broken branches and a powerful thud into the ground, the soil around them reverberating under the painful impact. The childre...

Re: We Can’t Fall Any Further, We Cannot Reach Any Higher

Prologue A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.... No one is quite sure exactly how long ago or how far away, especially because time and space are rather famously – relative. Time can move strangely between places, and as some people could tell you, sometimes there can be an entire world insid...

We Can’t Fall Any Further, We Cannot Reach Any Higher

This is... probably rather different from most of the stories posted here. It's a crossover with Star Wars Legends, sparking off an alternate universe - definitely for Star Wars, and more or less for Narnia as well. It occurred to me that I would like to see more Narnian reactions to it to keep me o...

Re: Cair Paravel's ruins

According to Google search, here is another take on the origin of Cair Paravel's name: " 'Cair Paravel' means “a lesser court” (Old English: 'caer' means 'court' and 'paravail' means 'lesser' or 'under.') This is probably a reference to the fact that the kings of Narnia are under Aslan.

Re: Narnian food!

Just you wait till I write in blueberries somewhere! :D In more seriousness, I do smuggle in foods I like but have to do it very carefully and choose them carefully so that it makes sense in the Narnian context. ;-) It's a bit silly to write characters who enjoy your own favourite food; it would be ...

Re: Hair colours of Narnian characters

This is an interesting topic for me right now because it's one of the topics I've been pondering in an attempt to create some sort of writing advice series for beginning Narnian writers (I have no idea if anything will come of that). I also noticed how little Lewis gives us, but for me it was kind o...

Re: Narnian food!

I love gooseberry fools. We have two gooseberry bushes in the old garden that usually yield just enough for a batch and some straight-into-the-mouth eating, so as soon as I found a recipe for gooseberry fools in a cookbook (it is translated so I suspect it took me several years to find out that's wh...

Re: Which Character Can You Relate To The Most?

Also, I tended to cry easily. It's nice to have a heroine that isn't made fun of for that. True. I don't know if I ever related to that as such, I think in a way it was actually more aspirational for me - meaning, I always liked that passage where she sensibly sits things out because she knows she'...
