Dear Father Christmas,

This is where to post your wish lists. Since we're not assigning people to each other this year, your wish list is you saying you'd like to receive elf gifts.

Re: What have you been watching?

I don't know if you can download or not- I want to say yes because most of their British stuff can be, but not all. I'd have to check. Be warned though, there are new hosts. They're not bad at all, but they're not Mel and Sue. Mary's gone too. And I have seen the American edition. It's not nearly as...

Re: What have you been watching?

I've been watching...a lot of the Great British Bake Off lately. It's just one of the nicest shows ever made. It's lovely. Re: What readest thou?

I finished reading the Stormlight Archives (Well, the ones that have been published so far) by Brandon Sanderson on Kristi's recommendation. I highly recommend it for older teens/adults. There's nothing really graphic in them at all, but there are some really heavy themes around war and violence. I ...

Re: What have you been watching?

I read the book "A Wrinkle in Time" this year and haven't gotten around to the movie yet. Thanks for the review Hermit, I'll probably be watching it sometime in the near future. As far as removing the references to Christianity...that doesn't surprise me. For one, it's Disney, I expect tha...

Re: What have you been watching?

I watched "The Greatest Showman" lately. I have mixed feelings about it. The songs were catchy, but I thought that they were over-polished. The dance numbers were great, if a little over polished themselves. I could be deep and say it was a commentary on how polished and personality-less p...

Re: What readest thou?

Ah, and here we are in Austen agreement, Ariel! Northranger Abbey is my favorite of the "minor" Austen books, and I adore Henry Tilney. And I do agree that the BBC adaptation did add in more gothic elements than was needed, though I get why they did it since it's a parody of gothic literat...
