Re: Non-Narnian Fan Art

Haha, thank you! That one began with a remark about Grogu’s need for a babysitter who could constantly keep an eye on him, which led my friend and me to think of Morph (who had those exact directions to watch Jim). And then we decided they’d make great playmates. :D

Re: We Can’t Fall Any Further, We Cannot Reach Any Higher

I certainly like the Narnianness. The pie sounded like a great juxtaposition between ordinary mole fare and something more human (and I chuckled at Peridan’s calling it filling and was happily surprised our intergalactic guest thought it very good). The Tree is a dear and has excellent taste in stor...

Re: What readest thou?

Do let us know, Kristi!

I suppose I could say I’ve been beta-reading a friend’s book for the second time. I really should stop procrastinating on the one sitting on my desk though.

Re: What have you been watching?

Two unrelated rabbit trails got me watching the documentary series “Churchill’s Bodyguard” and the 1993 “The Fugitive” (swear volume warning on that one). I also watched the first episode of the ‘60s show “The Fugitive”, but it wasn’t really what I was looking for. That said, I might revisit it afte...

Re: (Taralyn) It's been a while, but I wanted to say hi!

Good reasons to like VDT! Reep has several shining moments, and the un-dragoning of Eustace is poignant and applicable, I believe. And it contains my favourite quote of the series: “I have another name.” I lean toward HHB and LB myself. Aslan’s “I am the Lion” monologue hit me between the eyes so ha...

Hullo, Taralyn, and welcome back! I’m Ariel. I started hanging around here in 2008 or 2009 but didn’t join the chat and forum till 2011, so we haven’t met till now.

Re: What readest thou?

Nicely done, Lily. I’ve done more reading last year than I had in the previous three combined, but not that many! Yesterday I finished The Napoleon of Crime, which is a biography of Adam Worth, a man who was declared dead during the Civil War and then went on to live a life of thievery and Victorian...

Re: Non-Narnian Fan Art

I scribbled out a couple of quick sketches yesterday. The Baymax one has been on my mind for a few years, while the one of Grogu and Morph was a spur-of-the-moment piece inspired by a brief conversation I had with a friend.

Re: What have you been watching?

Knee-deep into a dramatic mystery show recommended to me. Not big on a couple of elements, but am enjoying the ride.
