Re: Summer Challenge Sharing Thread - 2022 'Prince Caspian'

I'll post replies and comments on other posts tomorrow but want to get some stuff shared today. Didn't have time to read Thursday because my friend always comes over for dinner before Bible Study and I got back late. So this is Wed-Friday's chapters: Chapter 5 I agree with Lily, knowing more about D...

Re: Summer Challenge Sharing Thread - 2022 'Prince Caspian'

Ran out of time to post tonight but I got the reading done. The terror of Caspian's midnight escape was kinda heightened as a result of a sudden change of circumstances by the fact I just finished watching the last (S7) of the animated Clone Wars and was already emotionally wound up from that.

Re: Summer Challenge Sharing Thread - 2022 'Prince Caspian'

@Lily: I noticed that comment by Ed about magic but didn't find it surprising. I assumed that having lived so long in Narnia there were lots of exposures to various small enchantments of unharmful types so he knew the feel. Or maybe that it was a feel associated with Narnia itself. Although, now th...

Re: Summer Challenge Sharing Thread - 2022 'Prince Caspian'

That turned out really well. I love it! Well done Ren. I'll probably just do written reflections unless something specific comes to me. Today I focus on how the children are portrayed: Chapters 1-2 I read the first chapters out aloud to myself, because I live alone and can. I’m always completely wow...

Summer Challenge Sharing Thread - 2022 'Prince Caspian'

Hi all, sorry this is a little late. Here's a place to post your reflections each day after reading the two assigned chapters. Reflections can be art-work, poetry, fan-ficlets or just written summaries of your thoughts. Don't worry if you fall behind. You can post anything on any day. The dates belo...

Re: Jasmine introduction

Hi Jasmine. Sorry this reply is late but it's been fun chatting to you on chat. I'm Ajnos, as you know, and I'm a Greek lecturer. And I love hedgehogs.

Re: Summer Reading Challenge 2021 (HHB) Sharing Thread

I'll try come back and reply to your other posts tomorrow. Love your dress-up, Ren!! Chapter 15 This chapter can be summed up in two words: Silly Rabadash I forgot that Rabadash became a "good" (or at least peaceful) King in his later life. I did a thing on this last time so won't repeat i...

Re: Summer Reading Challenge 2021 (HHB) Sharing Thread

That's lovely, Ren! @Ariel: Good thoughts. The comparison between fat Tisroc and fat Lune is an interesting one (another of your contrasts!). Also, I agree that his ignoring who Shasta is for now must have taken so much self control. Hopefully his horse is a sensible "dumb and witless horse&quo...

Re: Summer Reading Challenge 2021 (HHB) Sharing Thread

Loving your next two sets of pictures, Ren. Adorable hedgehog!! >'.'< The paw-print animation turned out so well, Swan!! I agree with you, Happy, how the two scenes where the characters get a chance to rest are really special. And they weren't something I'd thought much about so thanks for bringing ...
