Re: Chinks and Chasms - A Collaborative Story You Can Join

@knightofnarnia Great Waterfalls, plural. (No, they're not Aslan.) ;) "I was visiting my aunt Ruth--well, she's Mother's cousin, really, not her sister--in the Lake Country during hols, and her boys and I were exploring this island on the lake. They're still young, so Aunt Ruth was along with u...

Re: Chinks and Chasms - A Collaborative Story You Can Join

Her heart was still full of the memory of little rivers and babbling brooks, of dancing in high summer under the spray of the Great Waterfalls. Of chats with a neighboring rivulet and the shimmer of broken light falling on rock, of little mosses between rivers that made a bed for her wherever she fo...

Re: Hello there!

Hi Asterodia, I'm Kristi (derived from the Greek, I suppose). Glad to meet you and glad you introduced yourself. I'm a fan of Narnia, Tolkien, the Wingfeather Saga and other odds and ends. Also puttering along on some book writing for publication as I can. I'm more visible in the chatroom, but hope ...

Great work, everyone. I'm really enjoying your additions. (Feel free to compliment the folks before you if you find something especially cool in their post. Encouragement will help us keep rolling.) Her [Evenlyn's] mind latched onto the word one of the boys had used. She addressed Anna. "What ...

Chinks and Chasms - A Collaborative Story You Can Join

Evelyn Watson sat on her hands, waiting for her parents to finish speaking to the matron. She glanced around at the dull, ordinary and oh-so-British surroundings. Floral wallpaper, needlepoint cushions. The room was sedate, down to the cat sleeping in a basket in the corner. The heavy curtains let i...

Re: Adoptable Plot Bunny Farm

Bunny Name: In Western Lands

Bunny Length: Long

Bunny Concept: I know Last Battle was a great wrap to the series, but what would have happened if Tirian and Company had been able to escape to the Western Waste and live as outlaws as they at one point suggested?

Re: Summer Challenge 2019 - MN Sharing thread

Here's what Perch built last night as we were finishing the book. It shows Polly (Elmo) and Digory (Ernie) on Fledge with Aslan at right, with a microphone. I really like the way Perch chose to use so many different building mediums (media?). https://www.thelionscall.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/6...

I'm still playing catch up, but if I wait till I catch up reading I may never get to post Perch's creations of the past few days. This is his build of Jadis riding atop the cab and driving Strawberry with the whip. https://www.thelionscall.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/67571741_1249925138510906_771...

Re: Summer Challenge 2019 - MN Sharing thread

Hi, just here playing catch up after a busy long weekend. Looking at Ajnos' comments on Chapters 3-4, when she mentions how Lewis didn't feel it was necessary to show the argument between Digory and Polly in the Wood. Lewis does this a lot and I cna't imagine a modern day editor letting him get away...
