Re: What If Narnia Books Were Each A Musical
So for the stars, do we just show projected lights on the stage, or do we take it farther and show people in glimmering costumes hanging from silks and doing acrobatics as in the LOTR musical?

Re: Lily's NaPo 2022
Safety [4/14/2022] Is there a price high enough to pay? What is safety, anyway? As a philosophical point, I think the question is at what point is the price of safety too high? That's what ultimately causes good men to stop doing nothing. But perhaps I miss your point. Holy Week [4/15/2022] It does...

Re: What readest thou?
I should read Count of Monte Cristo...think I started to once. I've just reread Treasure Island on audiobook and can really see why it's stood the test of time. Some of the phrases might be unfamiliar to modern readers, but the story still shines through and it has some really terrific themes of hon...

Re: What readest thou?
Sanderson can be pretty good and he's certainly prolific. I'm looking forward to the rest of Tress of the Emerald Sea when he releases it next year, a surprise project he wrote for his wife with a quirky, sweet opening. I'm stalled on Stormlight 4 just now.

Re: Lily's NaPo 2022
I haven't read Matilda, but I like this. :) I like "what the sunshine sings through the rain". I need to work on my own lyrical language a bit for my prose. I love charming turns of words like "clouds in my coffee" even if it is from a rather strange song. Light Between Worlds en...

Re: What readest thou?
I'm rereading my 2007 NaNo novel, realizing I still love the story, but told it quite poorly. Need to also reread Treasure Island so I can write a blog post for a friend, got lost partway through Sanderson's Rhythm of War and haven't picked it up again yet, but eagerly awaiting his Tress of the Emer...

Re: What have you been watching?
I've just started The Mysterious Benedict Society and really enjoying it, plus I've felt good showing it to my kids. I listened to the audiobook some years ago and the reader was sort of distracting, but the story was sound, as much of it as I remember. So far it's been a pretty clean watch, which t...

Re: Looking for a fanfic
Reminds me of WillowDryad's "Counted Among the Traitors" but it isn't quite. Also early NarniaMuck history. Hmm. Don't think I've read this one.

Re: What have you been watching?
Oh I was wondering if The Dig was any good. Thanks. Watched A Princess for Christmas a couple nights ago after a failed attempt to watch Wonderstruck (Started bleak and looked like it meant to keep digging). Not bad for a Hallmark movie. Very cute and clean. (Though seriously, evil girlfriend, we're...
