Re: Summer Challenge 2020 - LWW Sharing thread

Chapter 17 Some of the things I noticed was how foreboding their approach to the wardrobe feels and how Susan is still the cautious one. She's the most reluctant to enter Narnia and the most reluctant to leave. I think she struggles with change which I can relate to. I Love this insight into Susan,...

Re: Summer Challenge 2020 - LWW Sharing thread

Love the posts so far on this thread! I will be starting a series of photo-haiku (or other short poems) for this challenge. Re: What readest thou?

I started Rifqa Bary's Hiding in the Light memoir today and couldn't put it down till I was 100 pages in. Her dilemma is portrayed with aching poignancy as she struggles with her desire to follow Christ with her fear of reprisal from her family for turning from their Muslim faith.

Well done, EveningStar! ... with the stark contrast between the lyrical verses in tetrameter vs. the last line, chopped off after only two iambic beats.

Re: Jadis vs. Aslan

I agree with the trending posts, not only on the points made by so many about the beavers' claim and the fact that Aslan had power to reverse the effects of her spells, but also regarding the surpassing greatness of his purity and goodness that would more than counteract any evil she might try to bi...

Re: Summer Challenge 2018: Eustace Sharing Thread

I apologize for kind of dropping the ball on my Eustace study -- although I have nothing compared to Ajjie to juggle, this week I have been working rather feverishly to knock out a pile of projects so I don't have to take my laptop on my trip starting Saturday (Tomorrow!!) to celebrate my anniversar...
