Ooh, that song does seem very much Narnian!

I don't think I've mentioned it yet, but Lindsey Stirling's "Shatter Me" always makes me think of Susan (going by the lyrics, not the music). Just that fear of the unknown plus the fear of staying put and then being "shattered" and emerging into a beautiful, promising new world having grown and becoming stronger. Something like that.

I"m currently on a Disney songs kick, and more specifically a villain songs kick, so "Poor Unfortunate Souls" reminds me of Jadis, and "Be Prepared" reminds me of Miraz.

Guys. Guys, guys, guys. I just discovered this album, thanks to the wiki. You need to listen! Not all of the songs are there, but it's on iTunes, if you look hard enough.

*bursts in*
Guys!! I accidentally found Narnia-inspired music from... *checks wikipedia* 1990! Just one song, and not necessarily full of the clearest references (actually, not everything is a reference, at least not to Narnia), but at least somewhat-inspired nonetheless. According to Wikipedia, "The words 'Further up, further in' are spoken by the character Aslan in a book by Christian fantasist C.S. Lewis, one of [Mike Scott of 'The Waterboys']'s sources of inspiration. The lyrics describe a Joseph Campbell-style 'hero's journey' to meet a king." (Note 1: YouTube is not affiliated with TLC. Note 2: Just because I'm sharing this song by these guys doesn't mean I'm okay-ing the others.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qDNaUdoSSw

Anyway, before I accidentally came across that one, I was listening to a different Narnia-inspired album called "Into the Lantern Waste" by Sarah Sparks. I'm not a huge fan of the style (largely because I feel that more variation would be good), but the lyrics, if nothing else, are good. (Note 1: YouTube is not affiliated with TLC. Note 2: I actually do encourage checking out the whole album in this case, though I can't speak for her non-Narnian videos.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0MRu_n ... 7Y7AzEPvtO
(My favourite is "Blood for Blood". Just thought I'd put that out there.)

I can still see at least some of the Roar of Love playlist, Jaygee?

Oh - and also on topic -
Simple Gifts/Lord of the Dance, especially the Blackmore's Night take - https://youtu.be/dBiD1Rg_PPs - makes me think of Aslan as a God who creates via song, and the joy and creativity of creation, and the prophetic dance of Narnian Stars.

I was reading Prince Caspian, and I got this song in my head, its called Take Flight by Lindsey Sterling. Then I thought about it, and realized that it would go really good with the story. :) If you could listen to someone reading the book, with the music in the background, that would be really awesome. :P

Look Through My Eyes by Phil Collins. :) So very Aslan.

Am Seidenen Faden by Tim Bendzko is something I could see Edmund feeling.
