I had to write lyric poem for my creative writing class; here is what I came up with:

Edmund's Song

The sunrise
Golden and new
Speaks of fresh life
That I found in You

I was selfish, a traitor
Your name I did hate
So I sided with her
Surely it was too late

Yet You came to save me
You died in my place
What love and what mercy
Could show me such Grace?

Such wonderful glorious Grace

Unworthy was I
Still on stone You did die
So forgiven I'll stand,
Your Beloved,
Just as You planned
