Re: Mary Sues
lol, at least I now know that someone doesn't think it's a dumb idea. Still no idea if I'd get sufficient inspiration to actually write it though. Maybe, maybe not.

Re: Mary Sues
I guess I might as well note that my "Rose Enchantress" idea is not necessarily based on the idea that the Enchantress herself is a Sueish character; it was more an idea by which I could express distaste for mainly-pointless-romance Sue stories (not that all Sues are romantic interest characters and not that all OC romantic interests are Sues). Of course, if you decide to try it out or just borrow various ideas, you can easily make it whatever you want.

Re: Mary Sues
Ah, sorry. "OC" stands for "original characters".

Re: Mary Sues
And also... you said "It's slightly AU." I don't know what that means, either.

Re: Mary Sues
"AU" stands for "alternate universe". What that means is that the story changes at least one major element of canon. So, for example, fics in which the Pevensies are not related or they don't return to England at the end of PC or Edmund does become Jadis' prince, etc.. So I said that this idea is "AU" because it brings characters from all over the timeline together into the same place, which certainly didn't happen in canon.

Re: Mary Sues
If it was very well written, I can definitely see that story being good (and quite funny). It would be a challenge, though, to control such a large cast of characters!
