this is a poem I wrote for my brother:)

The man crests another hill,
to fight a battle of powers and will.
He’s a warrior, a solider with purpose secure,
trying his best to serve his lord.
His goal is to seek, to save, and to serve,
he has seen things to make lesser men lose their nerve.
But he’s racing and pacing and running the track,
he knows at this point there is no going back.
He is of nobility with a kingdom at hand,
and he works as he follows his father’s command.
He was called, so we know, to “go to all nations”
and he goes ‘round the world preaching salvation.
He goes and he tells of love and of grace,
even when trials stare into his face.
This is why he was called, that the souls of men,
May return to heaven again.
He’s been working hard and long at his good Lords command,
and he has made proud his family and heaven.
