Root Vegetables (Not Rabadash) Vs. Mafia (The Story)
The sun rose to greet the small, yet bustling town of… well, everyone called it Turnipville. On the surface, it seemed to be a happy place, yet every citizen was worried. Why? The dreaded mafia had infiltrated their town, and there were even some among them who might have joined these dastardly foes. No one knew who was trustworthy; their best friend could turn out to be mafia instead of a turnip farmer. This day was Election Day, and everyone rushed to the town hall to cast their vote for mayor, hoping against hope that maybe, just maybe, with new leadership, the terrible mafia could be driven away. With only a few dissenters, Kristi was chosen. Night fell on Turnipville.

When the sun’s rays again kissed the horizon, the horrified townspeople found that dear Albero was gone, kidnapped by mafia! After a vote, the people decide to tickle Elanor. She was taken to jail, where she insisted upon her innocence. Ela was left in jail, with great Wi-Fi and Chik-fil-a, for her safety until the mafia had been defeated. While not being allowed to vote anymore, she did begin to give snarky commentary about the occurrences. Night once again fell.

The next morning, Cor had disappeared. This was a great blow to the community, for Cor had left a note informing them that he had been the detective, the one who knew the names of mafia members. After fierce debate, Jaygee was chosen for tickling. She admitted to being mafia. The people rejoiced upon discovering one of their sworn enemies, though those who had believed her pleas of innocence were shocked. She, too, was left in jail with Wi-Fi, chicken nuggets, waffle fries, cookies, and now chocolate milk. The snarky commentary increased. The sun set and the turnip farmers slept.

Upon the town’s awakening, Lil , who had lived in Turnipville for a very long time, had been kidnapped. Argument ensued about whether Always Narnian or Lucy Took should be tickled. In the end, Always, an innocent, was tickled, but Tooky, her twin, refused to leave her side, and the Took was mafia! Joy spread through the town of Turnipville upon uncovering another evil antagonist, knowing that they were halfway finished with flushing out the evil mafia. Always and Tooky joined Jaygee and Ela in prison, with Wi-Fi, cookies, Chik-fil-a, chocolate milk, and, somehow, popcorn and cake had been smuggled in. Again, more snarky commentary flowed out of jail. The people slept once more.

The sun rose again, this time on a town without Shield Maiden, another long-time citizen! After more fierce fighting, during which some thought Ariel should be tickled and some thought their mayor, Kristi, should, the town residents tickled Ariel, who was found to be innocent. She, too, joined the other three in jail for protection. The Wi-Fi, cookies, chocolate milk, and Chik-fil-a did cheer her up somewhat. With the mafia now holding the majority of the votes, Gypsy and Mayor Kristi released their comrades, and the four of them took over the town. Night fell on Turnipville one last time, the beloved little town in a state of anarchy, thanks to the mafia.
