the first two lines of this poem are from a tyler joseph song.

I know it might be a little selfish of me to say,
But i need to know if you’ve thought of me at all today,
Because every morning when i get up
It’s harder to know i’m loved,
And every time i fall down
It seems easier to stay on the ground,
And every word that you speak
Seems to come from a dream
Because there’s no way in reality
That there’s a person who cares about me,
Whenever morning comes
And i see what i’ve done
Where my mind has led me:
Red stains on my sheets
Where my mind has bled
While i laid in bed.
And I know it might be a little selfish of me to think,
But sometimes i wish that i could fall from the brink,
And i wonder if anybody would know i’m gone,
And i wonder if you, my friend, would come
Over today
Because i just need a break
And to know that someone
Thought of me today.

Really sad, that, but heartfelt. Good job, Pev! (One teeny note of criticism: it should be "lay" in bed, not "laid". "Laid" would be the past tense of putting a direct object down, while "lay" is the past tense of the subject going down.)
