Susan is the first Doctor's first companion and also his grandaughter. I haven't seen that much classic who myself but I've read and seen enough video clips to know that at some point he takes her back to Gallifrey (I think she chooses to stay behind - someone who actually knows what they are talking about will correct me). Anyway, he does this famous "one day I shall come back" speech...and she's still waiting for him.

Noooooooo, Doctor Who is no longer streaming on Netflix! Oh well, it was never my favorite show anyway.

Apparently it's arriving on Amazon Prime soon, but initially only up to series 8

The 9th Doctor has my favorite sense of humor of the newer doctors.
I loved series 1-6. This is what got me into watching dramatic and sci-fi tv. The only drawback is that it is written from an atheistic outlook and written so well that sometimes I had to review what I believed after watching it.
I think the show changed in series 7, either that or I changed, since I don't watch much of it any more, but then that's probably because PBS isn't showing it anymore either. For some reason I felt the Capaldi Doctor (Do we call him 12th or 13th?) was creepy.

Ahhh I haven't yet finished 9th Doctor. And that's what I started with.
Well not really. I started with the Classics...... and I regretted is FULLY. However after about a year I started series 1 and I haven't finished it yet, but I enjoy it. I have so many other things to do I don't watch it often.

Yeah, I get that as well. Having to rethink things to make sure I know what I believe. But overall I enjoy it. Not something I will get far into, but if someone makes me watch it, I won't turn them down.

I do love 9. His character is amazing.
Part of why I want to watch it is because I absorb accents. And the longer I watch it the longer it takes for the accent to wear off.
