I thought Anna was less ditzy and more mature (for one thing, she's obviously not 16 ).
Beauty and the Beast nod... oh, the ballroom? Yes! Got so nostalgic!

Well, towards the end she did seem less ditsy and mature - for Anna. In my opinion, what's-his-name, oh yeah, Kristoff, wasn't needed in the story line - kinda there to sit and be Anna's fiance. If there were some actual backstory for Hans besides his continual convenient occurrences, that would have been nice, but noooooooooo. It did get better as the episodes went on but it only ever teetered into good territory when the story wasn't focused on the Frozen aspects, which might have been better if there weren't so many hinthints nodnods to the actual film. Ingrid's fixation that propelled the story was... um... weird.
Now onto the second half.

I would have liked more Kristoff for sure. He only really stood out in the episode in which Anna sailed away for answers and I liked what I saw. More Hans would have been good too.
Second half has a few storytelling issues, just a warning.

I wouldn't. But then I've never liked the character.

Of the "let's just finish off this character's arc right here because we don't need said character anymore" sort. They just concluded a couple things too quickly.

Almost done with the series. Thought this half was more interesting, myself, especially the back stories.

Yeah, it is more interesting. Cruella deVil's backstory... *doesn't know if you've got there yet*

Yeah - yikes! Wasn't expecting that at all. Very, very dark.

Right?! Hers was downright creepy and... yeah, "yikes" is right!

At first it seemed like it would tread the same path as some other villains, you know, misunderstanding and overbearing/controlling guardian. Boy was that theory wrong. I don't know if this is true, but is she, perhaps, the most wicked of the villains? She killed three of her mother's husbands AND cruelly killed her mother without having much of a motive - it seems as if she liked it. That look of glee when she watched... you know. Eek.
So, we're finally finished with the series! I kinda didn't watch some eps because of schoolwork but I got the gist. It was good, the two-parter story was interesting and I want to know what happens come the end of September (we have ABC with an antenna, so yay!). I don't think it will ever have the same intrigue as the first season, but the writing, though bordering on predictable at times, still maintains decent-to-good story lines and backstories are worth the watch.
