Re: What have you been watching?
A few days ago I watched a BBC film, Mr Holmes. Loved it and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in Sherlock Holmes. Ian Mckellen is brilliant in his role and the other actors also do a great job. The premise, an older retired Holmes wanting to correct one of Watson's "exaggerated" stories but is unable to because of failing memory, is well told and worth the time to see unfold.

I don't think Sherlock was the kind of man to acquire Alzheimer, even with cocaine abuse.

Ella- is your signature from War Horse? I saw that recently. It was really good but so sad.
Also, I just saw Mr. Holmes recently. It was well acted and I was very intrigued the whole time, only to find the ending conclusion very disappointing.
I saw Woodlawn as well, and while the story was good, I found it to be a bit choppy.
We are working our way through the extended LOTRs right now. It was time for a marathon

@Shi: Yes, it happens to be a favourite of mine and ignited a passion for learning more about WWI. I could go on and on about it...
In what way(s) did the ending of Mr Holmes disappoint you? You can PM me if you want so spoilers can be avoided in this thread.

*refrains from asking about Mr Holmes' ending because, as much as she loves spoilers, she refuses to spoil a mystery story for herself*

Re: What have you been watching?
That sounds pretty good. I have been watching Edwardian Farm (a high recommendation), and the family just started last night Frontier House, a not so good, but more thrilling, adventure.
They are both people going back in time to do things the way they did back then. Frontier House has a much less moral standing, but it isn't too bad.

And if you want me to respond to anything, you will have to quote me I am afraid.

We've pretty much been watching Hallmark Christmas movies. Love those so much.
