Re: What have you been watching?
That’s one endorsement! I know nothing of the story, but I’ll admit to some curiosity.

Okay well I've caught up on all the Chosen episodes that have come out. I'm now addicted. Help.
If somebody has an idea for a Narnia comic that they weren't planning on making themselves, I <------ This offer still
would be so grateful if they would send it to me in a PM. I am running appallingly low on ideas...! <-- stands.

Just watched a Christopher Nolan movie last night. I won’t name it, given content issues, but it was… well, I’m not entirely sure I understand what I watched. It was very cool visually, and the puzzle-piecing was engaging, but the storytelling was kinda boggling.

Just watched the first episode of wheel of time. Not for younger audiences but I liked it.

Been watching Book of Boba Fett. It’s lacking as a story, especially in purpose. And it’s not a good sign when the two most interesting episodes (though also weak in directional trajectory) are the two without Boba Fett (and are practically The Mandalorian season 3 episodes 1 and 2…).

Although I like the Book of Boba Fett I can't help but agree with you that the two last ones are the best. And that isn't a good sign for the serie.

Re: What have you been watching?
Last night, I watched a true-story, foreign-language, WWII survival movie. I won’t name it, given the justified rating for violence and gore, but it was a riveting watch. Despite the fact that they tell you right at the beginning of the movie that the main character survives, the tension throughout is enough to let you forget that.
Today, I watched the anime movie Belle and found that it had more heart than I had anticipated.

Re: What have you been watching?
I haven't watched anything for ages and this week I watched loads of things!
First I did Pixar's Soul over a pizza night with my sisters. Theologically really weird, but emotionally and psychologically well made.
Then I and one of my sisters went to a friend's short film festival! There were I think twelve little flicks submitted? So it was quite a range. Some of them were... more edgy than I was completely comfortable with. But there were a lot I liked pretty well, too. Some of my personal favorites were:
-a video of a rollerskater/dancer and a mime doing art around town, with Really Pretty background music
-one that I thought at first was a dreamscape but turned out to be scifi, a young woman recalling traumatic memories while trying to wake up out of cryo. The filming was beautiful, and her mindscape was a mix of desert and half-dead forest, but whenever a memory popped up it was framed in garlands of flowers.
-a chess game between a man and a goth woman who turned out to be an avatar of death, playing for an extra ten years of life so that he could stay and help his daughter and grandchildren instead of moving on to be with his wife. In the end he discovered that Death had actually gone easy on him to allow him more time.
