I spent last night hyper-analyzing varied characterizations of a single character through multiple actors’ performances of the same song. We had done that to a smaller scale before, but we went bigger last night, haha.

Huh. Sounds like a novel way to spend an evening.

I've not been doing great today and been sleeping or in my head a lot, but I'm planning on working on some good art this evening. Or at least starting to. I have a scheme for a little pixie-themed painting and am about to hunt up my refs and lay foundations on a panel. I actually also have a floral piece unfinished but I'm not feeling it right now and would rather make progress where I can than wasting my time nerving myself into doing something I'm not ready for, when it isn't even required.

Sometimes you need that creative break!
I had started to write a new beginning for a fic that’s been sitting around partially done for a while, but then wasn’t sure if the new beginning was the right one either. I may have a solution, but I’m procrastinating by putting together the components for a reading lamp I’ve been meaning to make for two years.

Not feeling my best still but a bit more steady, and looking forward to catching dinner and some TV eps with a college friend this evening. Gonna see if I can manage a little art progress first, maybe music will help.
