I like it. I didn't remember ever imagining Frodo as a blond before - and here he looks almost like an elf climbing trees! I think the movie posters had an effect on me even though I read the books before seeing the movies.
The coloring you have and the lighting and shadows are truly spectacular! What happened to the hobbit hair on the feet, though?

Okay... I just saw your post that this is not Frodo after all. Now it makes so much more sense.

LOL The older drawing is Frodo, the newer drawing is in fact an elf.

Oh yes definitely. I've been intrigued by the idea of ranger hobbits since I heard that the very first version of the character that ended up as Aragorn was a ranger hobbit called Trotter.

A peg-legged hobbit ranger, at that. :D

Exactly!! I love Aragorn, of course, but I wish that we had even just some snippets of the version where we had Trotter...

Okay well I've done a lot more art than just this--mostly for my art blogs--but I wanted to show you guys my updated designs for Merry and Pippin.

Earlier this year I also redrew that Fëanor drawing I did about 5 years ago because I like being able to compare old drawings with new ones to check improvement. Thought maybe Ariel would be interested to see the difference since I remember she commented on the original.

Still love your style, and there’s growth too! Great job on all of these: the poses and expressions are so lively. :D

Late last year and late this year, I’ve done some drawings of my Tron OC. Here are a couple of highlights. (Note though that the manga-style portraits are straight-up copies of character faces from an anime that I’ve watched. I can’t claim that aspect of either portrait as mine.)

Yooooo Ariel those look so cool!! I love the environment lighting in the digital one.... :D
(Also I still need to watch Tron, thank you for reminding me...)

I have a couple of drawings from the past couple of months just to let you guys know that I'm still drawing. I occasionally like to do the lineart by hand and then add colors or extra lighting effects digitally, so that's what's going on in both of these.

Thank you! I’m pretty happy with the atmospheric lighting on the digital one. 😁
(Because Tron: Uprising is the best thing to happen to the Tron franchise, I’m going to recommend you watch the show too. 😁)

They’re both great! The Sil one for the colours and framing, the Batman one for all the mood!
