Calling all writers!!

Due to an extreme lack of attendance at our weekly E-Inklings meetings, Lil and I are considering shutting down Writer's Group for the summers. If anyone is at all interested and able to attend any meetings this summer, please let us know!.

If no one replies, we will definitely be shutting down until Augustish. If anyone is interested though, we will consider keeping it open, although we may cut it down to once or twice a month for now. Please let Lil and me know either by replying to this thread or by PM.

What if we met once (maybe) twice this summer and had a big writing day. We could do word wars, and share stuff. Maybe have some impromptu contests. Like give a prompt and a certain amount of time (like 15 minutes) and see what everyone comes up with in that amount of time. We could post about it on the forum and the home page so everyone would know about it and hopefully be prepared to come.

Sounds like a good idea, Engee. I might be able to show up to that, depending on my schedule.

I do miss attending Writer's Group-- I definitely haven't lost interest in it, I'm just... really, really bad at remembering appointments if I'm not reminded constantly. I need to set up an alert system or something for myself...
That being said, I would love to attend any Writer sessions you guys set up.

My Saturday mornings are usually tied up, but if you set a Writing Day in Chat over the summer, I would try to come if I could.

So Lil and I talked, and decided on what we're going to do. Writer's is officially closed for the summer, except for once in July and once in August, when we'll take a two-hour block to do sharing and writing challenges together. E-Inklings will resume its normal schedule in September.

Is there a particular Saturday of the month that anybody would like to say is good for them? And do we need to make it later in the day so anyone can participate?

I'll have to let you know at a later time as I'm still trying to figure out life right now (heh-heh, good luck, right?).
