Some of you may have noticed that siggies, avatars, and emoticons are not working. We had a problem earlier with the forum where pictures posted in the forum were becoming other pictures. For instance, a dormouse signature turned into a picture of a random guy. Ajnos has turned off the graphics, but old graphics will still show up in threads.

We'd like to encourage everyone to steer clear of the Elf Threads and other forum threads where graphics might be (original art, fan art, etc.) until we can get this issue resolved. We're sorry for the inconvenience, and we hope to have it fixed soon!

Since we shouldn't go into the Elf threads, will Elfing be open longer after Christmas than last year?

I can't give you the executive decision on that, since I'm not in charge of it, but I shall ask Tooky and Ajnos. I imagine we will, depending on how long this blackout (set-out avatar-out, image-out, whatever :P) lasts.

Yes, it will be open longer. I'm thinking at least until New Years, but we'll see how long the blackout lasts.

Is this possibly the same problem that caused the weird smiley faces I was having about a week ago?

We aren't exactly, sure, Hobbit, but I suppose it is possible. We're hoping the forum host will get back to us quickly and that once they do our problems will be solved, including that weird one with the smileys.
