Re: Music
I'm not really a fan of instrumental music, for some reason songs need words in my opinion and it drives me crazy when there aren't any
Brandon Heath, For King and Country, Francesca Battestelli, Jimmy Needham, Matthew West, Steven Curtis Chapman... etc.
I love Disney songs And I like some of Owl CIty's music

Re: Music
heehee, poor Ela.
Newboys, I don't have a favorite song. I like quite a few of them, including "Something Beautiful", "In Wonder", and many many many more.

Yes poor Ela
Just reading the titles placed the songs in my head, but that's definitely not a bad thing.

Such a good quote. I like old and new...but by new, I do mean B.M.T. (Before Michael Tait).Tenethia wrote: And a lot of Newsboys. Newsboys are awesome.

Re: Music
I love soundtracks, Celtic music, Tenth Avenue North (I got to see them in concert! ), Steven Curtis Chapman, Chris Tomlin (I've also seen him in concert), Casting Crowns, For King and Country, Sidewalk Prophets, Kutless, some tobyMac, some Britt Nichole, and some Owl City. And a teeny, tiny bit of Taylor Swift (Seriously, I like about three songs ). Yeah, I like a lot of bands.

Re: Music
Seems as if everyone likes Celtic music
Some bands that I think are particularly good would be TAN (Tenth Avenue North), For King and Country, Chris Tomlin, Steven Curtis Chapman (most of his older songs, examples: Dive, Great Adventure, Bring it On), Kutless, Mikeschair, Sanctus Real, and others I'm sure. There are a lot of songs that I enjoy listening too but to list them would take quite a long time.

Re: Music
Well, I certainly love Celtic music, so add me to the list. I also love Andean music, which is often in a minor key and is very haunting. I love sound tracks, especially by James Horner and John Williams, and also Miklos Rozsa, who wrote the sound tracks for Ben Hur, King of Kings, Ivanhoe, and El Cid. I also love a lot of show tunes from musicals, both movie and stage ones.
I love classical music. I mean, love it--symphonies and chamber music and many operas. I even love some operas in languages I can't understand. My favorite operas are often Russian ones, because in the 19th century, a lot of them were often based on traditional folktales and folk tunes, so they were very lavish and fantastical. (As I say, I don't understand most of what's going on--the music seems to tell its own story.)
I like the occasional pop ballad, usually for the music, not the lyrics.
