The Elf's Workshop

Post by Lucy Took » Sun Dec 08, 2013 9:29 pm

Here it is!
This is where you can post your gifts for all the people you want to give to!
You can post as much as you want. You can give to multiple people multiple times, if you want!

Just make sure you:

- Have read and understand all the rules.
- Make sure you tell who each gift is for.
- Remember to get links approved, and include your approval statement.
- Keep this thread for giving (and only with the Elf account) only and not start up conversations...there's a different thread for that. ;)
- Remember to log out of the Elf account as soon as you are done giving.

To give just log out of your account, and log in to the Elf account!
Log in information is Case Sensitive! So please be sure you are entering it correctly.
And make sure you leave the "Remember Me" box unchecked!
Log in with the name elf (just like that, no capital letters).
The password is the name of our favorite dwarf- the DLF- with the first letter capitalized and add 11 at the end. If you can't figure it out, just PM me. ;)

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

I have a first batch of gifts! Father Christmas sends a message: "Please let me know how you enjoy them so I can be sure to get you more of what you like or I'll know to get you something else."

All links are approved by Tooky, Youtube and all other sites linked here are not associated with TLC. Beware of Dragons, etc.

For Always Ann, Merry Christmas to you!
A Drawing Tutorial! This guy has some neat tips! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tK70tHKhME
Another Drawing Tutorial! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0j6Thmr5Yw
In Dreams for the Tin Whistle, also known as the penny whistle! Hope you'll enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8Z_9JPoPKo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=siCQQ1w9 ... 42D68A2449 If you find that nice and enjoyable, I've linked you here to an entire playlist of tutorialish things for penny whistle! Just be warned that the Harry Potter theme is in there :)
Finally, http://musescore.com/user/45573/scores/67903, flute music for the hobbit theme. You should be able to play penny whistle from that -- flute and penny whistle sometimes share music :) Let me know if I'm wrong about that!

To Eria, Ann, Ariel, Elanor

An EXCLUSIVE interview of Richard Armitage! Keep an eye on this site for even more! They did interviews with a bunch of other actors and actresses!

To Dear Shi
Celtic Woman does some Irish music, and although I wouldn't recommend all of their music or videos, I would recommend this one! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIYdiYVlRN8
Ireland's Call, by the Three Tenors! I love this song, and it's about Ireland! Hope you'll like it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWlKZSz0oeM

To Elanor
I have a ton of violin tutorials at my fingertips, but when you said to Father Christmas in your letter, what did you mean by beginner? Let me know in your wish list what you know about violin if anything (how to hold it, rosining the bow, etc.) and I'll work on some stuff about that for you!

Jaygee
Veggietales! And I don't know if you like Jamie Grace, but she did Veggietales, and some good songs, including one with Tobymac! Let me know what you think!

Dearest Islie, I hope these passages are encouraging to you.

Hebrews 13:5-6
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Psalm 18:1-6, 16-17, 29-37, 46-48
I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.
2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
4 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.
5 The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.
6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry came before Him, even into His ears.
16 He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.
17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.
29 For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.
30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
31 For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?
32 It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.
33 He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places.
34 He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.
36 Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.
37 I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed.
46 The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.
47 It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me.
48 He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.

Psalm 56:3-4
3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
4 In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
