-The Singer Trilogy
by Calvin Miller is cool and under-appreciated, although maybe a little tough to get your hands on. Kinda semi-poetic allegory.
-At the Back of the North Wind
by George MacDonald

-Hope Was Here
by Joan Bauer - well written, generally clean, YA slice-of-life fiction with a female protagonist. by Matthew J. Kirby - historical fiction Viking whodunit (http://www.squeakycleanreviews.com/review.cfm?review_id=3089
by Cynthia Voigt - tentative rec, would need to go back to be sure of the content rating, but I remember it was well-written, if somewhat grim at times, and involved Robin-Hood-like folklore.
