Being one of those who goes bonkers just trying to pick THE RIGHT NAME for characters, I really like this a lot. Not quite your usual style, as you say, but I think that adds to the effect, honestly.

Will probably mostly put poetry here, maybe some short stories and excerpts of longer stuff, scripts, maybe song lyrics. If you read, I always appreciate hearing what you liked and what you didn't like 'cause it will help to know.
If you know my poetry, you know I like to rhyme so this piece may come as a surprise. I'm trying new stuff
but I shan't abandon my rhyming ways.What is in a Name?
I have something for you.
It is a sound.
It is mine,
but you can have it without my losing it one bit.
I'll stick it in your ear,
and you can run it around your mind,
and let it slide off your tongue
as often as you like.
It was made for me,
but I make it too
with every path I take,
the things I've done and the things I do.
You can play with it,
shorten it,
or stretch it out.
You can make it your own,
but it will always be mine
so long as you mean me when you use it.
But I will understand if you misplace it.

you learn my face,
and map the workings of my mind
the sound will deepen and fill
with everything you put there.
