Re: NaNoWriMo 2015
The only writing I'm doing this month is for my PhD. I might enter in what I do write to my total to motivate myself although at the moment I'm doing more reading of literature than writing. NaNo rebels unite! That's what I did last year on account of moving during NaNo season. :P And that's what N...

Re: Petraverdian Scribblage
Just Beneath On the eastern shore of the lake, there is a pier. It's a little weather-worn, but sturdy enough. It does not even seem like it is used much anymore, perhaps because it's so small. On the surface, it is little more than your average wooden pier, jutting out into the lake. And yet, it w...

Re: Too old for Narnia
I tend to view it in light of Lewis's dedication in LWW - that there comes a point where we start to draw close to the real and the tangible as opposed to the imagined and the numinous, becoming "too old for fairy tales," but eventually we come to realize that there's more than simply what...

Scribblage that came about during a train ride as a result of a sermon from a couple months ago. ~~~~~ The Blind Leading the Blind Why is it that some have such difficulty accepting things on faith? It is something that I have never really been able to understand. Science must explain everything. I ...

Re: Swanwhite's Scribblage
But I will understand if you misplace it. I will not blame you if you drop it. It is a slippery thing when new, and I can always give it back to you again. "The name's Puddleglum. But it's all right if you forget it, I can always tell you again..." Being one of those who goes bonkers just...

Re: NaNoWriMo 2013
I've almost always got something blasting in my ears when I'm writing, and more often than not it's something by Loreena McKennitt. My writing soundtrack varies slightly depending on what it is I'm writing, but she's typically a large part of it. And this year's NaNo is no different.

Re: NaNoWriMo 2013
Lucky NaNo #7 for me this year, so we'll see what this one holds. So long as I can pull off win #6, I'll be happy - though I'll be happier if I can break my personal wordcount record for November. :P I've had an idea percolating in the back of my head since mid-July or so, which tends to be when I g...

NaNoWriMo 2013
Today is October 1st, which for a fair few of us means the official start of Plotting Season for National Novel Writing Month! For those of you who don't know, the idea behind National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo for short, often just NaNo) is to write 50,000 words on a novel (or other similar wr...

Re: Petraverdian Scribblage
(Continued) Cascading stars on the slumbering hills... Another sound resounds through the woods, breaking the almost palpable silence, coming from everywhere and nowhere at once, and the People of the Mist turn their gaze skyward. His brother soon follows suit, and so does he. The stars twinkle brig...
