I agree with the trending posts, not only on the points made by so many about the beavers' claim and the fact that Aslan had power to reverse the effects of her spells, but also regarding the surpassing greatness of his purity and goodness that would more than counteract any evil she might try to bind him with. Well said, all!

Since Easter has just passed, I am reminded that death could not bind Christ, but instead in him all who trust in him are made alive. Similarly I would posit Jadis would have no power to petrify Aslan ...

Oh and from the film's perspective, I could so totally imagine the wisdom of turning a huge lion that is about to crash into you into a solid stone lion statue that is about to crash into you.
