Yes LS is in Mandalorian and has Grogu. Somehow I think he might end up back with Mandalorian. Second season is ended. Now to wait for the third.

Anyone besides me is watching Bad Batch? Omega is a pretty strange name. (It is the last letter of the Greek alphabet) I like it.

I mean I wrote it to fix all the things I disliked about the originals, so personally I prefer my rewrites, but I can't exactly be objective here. :P

...a sequel trilogy rewrite you say? I am curious. Although I am certain to have mixed feelings on it, as I have my own collection of likes and dislikes about those films which probably aren't identical to yours!

The biggest difference, without giving too much else away, was that Rey got so far in her curiosity about the Dark Side that she turned all the way over and becomes the bad guy in the second half of the story. It seemed like the payoff they were leading up to (as they did with Anakin in the prequels) and it made her a much more interesting character since she never had much growth in the originals. When you have a character that's good at everything right from the get-go, there's nowhere to go but down, and it's much more interesting at that point to turn them evil rather than just letting them drag the story along while they don't go anywhere.

Hm. I... Don't know how to take that honestly. It sounds like a fascinating AU, but I am attached to my Rey-of-Light, although I think she could have been more psychologically complex. Give the girl-children a hero to look up to in the tradition of Luke you see. I would have liked to see more emphasis on the scrappy do what she has to to get by, used to severe scarcity junkyard girl, and see her in situations where she was out of her depth, but I don't feel like she had to be evil to be interesting.

Could still give it a spin though, as it sounds like an entertaining angle.

Yeah it's a bit of a mixed take. I never felt like I needed characters to be girls in order to look up to them, so it wasn't as important to me that she stay good the whole way through, but I do see where you're coming from. It just bugged me that they made her good at everything right away with no training, and to me that seemed like a good backstory for a villain.
