Ariel, I like how you made Rillian's shield change back to a Narnian one.

I drew this and my sister came up with the punchline. She says the drawing isn't clear enough and it's not clear who is thinking what, but it is supposed to be that Eustace is regretting his decision to try to get Jill away from the edge of the cliff.

@Hermit: Thank you! I wanted to capture that transition, which really goes well with all the “waking up” and spell-breaking in this part of the book.

That’s a pretty good drawing! I understood the punchline right away, but was a tad confused about Jill for a sec: it kinda looks like she kicked Eustace off the cliff.

Ahahaha, that is an amazing picture, Hermit.
(Also thaaaank you for unintentionally reminding me that I haven't finished making my submissions for the reading challenge....I'd forgotten that I hadn't done those yet. I'm not very bright sometimes...)

That's amazing, Hermit! It's a hard moment to capture, and I think you've done it. Eustace's face is perfect :)

(I finally got around to updating the Rilian's shield pics, so they should be easier to see now.)

These are some old drawings of Jill and Eustace at the beginning of The Silver Chair I made in 2014 when I went to a comic-con to ask for advice from the visiting artists. They're not perfect, but they were fun to draw and I hope you like them a little.

Wow! I like the little details like Jill’s rolled-up sock and the dirt stains on Eustace’s pants!

I love the comic format! :) Also the lineart is very clean and nice; it makes for a very appealing style.
