The other day my brother and dad and I went fishing on a lake which led into a narrow stream flanked by high banks with trees on each side. I was rowing the boat... and both me and my brother were thinking, "This feels SO much like that scene in Prince Caspian when they're taking the boat to Aslan's How!"

Found a toy sword discarded on someone’s lawn. Made me wonder what would have made a warrior drop his weapon.

My sister tripped and slid down the ladded of our bunk beds, she stopped and said, "That wouldn't have happened if Aslan was at the other side of the cliff"

Went raspberry-picking today and have scratches on one arm. Looked at them and thought, “I look like I’ve just told Aslan that I’ve been mean to cats.”

While playing a boardgame which involves getting to name different provinces and islands, I chose to name one of them Avra- and then realized that Avra was one of the Lone Islands. Figures that would pop into my head!

Kristi and I were chatting and the subject of Snow White came up. In the midst of my describing Snow White, I came upon a revelation: Jadis is Snow White.
- literally snow-white skin
- super red lips
- (per illustrations, though Lewis never said) black hair
- is beautiful
- ate a life-changing apple
- was wakened from enchanted sleep
- hangs out with dwarfs and animals

On July 25, 2020, my family started reading through the Chronicles of Narnia "chronologically" together as a pandemic pastime. We are now over halfway through, having begun The Voyage of the Dawn Treader today! We are having so much fun rediscovering Lewis' wonderful narratives and dialogue that we affectionately look forward each day to our Narnicles of Chronia time (coined by my husband first, but now we all have adopted this neologism)!
