@Engee: I can do a Scottish accent, too. And a bunch of others.

So... I just got two teeth pulled, and the laughing gas is still affecting me and making everything feel a little bit dream-like.

The numbing stuff hasn't worn off yet, although I do get the family prize for breaking a tooth into the most pieces. We thought it had broken in half, but turns out it broke into about 5 pieces.

@Dilly Yes! I got to see Edinburgh Castle and Stirling Castle. We climbed the William Wallace Monument and Arthur's Seat mountain.

@Tenny: I can do a Scottish accent, An Irish one, several different British ones, Swedish, French-German-Swedish (it sounds really weird!), and Australian.

I'm really sorry that I never got to Scotland when I was living in Oxford. I wanted to take a trip there, but time and money didn't allow in the end. I did get to see some awesome bits of England and Wales though.

Ajjie has essentially got it right. The question of whether to say British or English, or British or Welsh or whatever, is similar to the question of whether to say you are an American or what ever you call a person from Ohio.

Because the UK is made up of four countries (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) what you call yourself depends on where you come from. So as I was born in England, I am English. But as I am also resident within the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland I am also British. If I was born in Wales, I would be both Welsh and British, because I come specifically from Wales, but also from Britain. Does that make sense to everyone?

That is of course before we get into the question of Yorkshire and Cornwall
