So this is an idea I saw on etsy, and decided to make one of my own. I chose The Silver Chair cause it's my favorite of the Narnia books. This is basically finished. I may add some more pages in the back to make it thicker, and then it will go in a shadowbox. (Sorry about the glare on the close-up pictures.)

Thank you Ella! It didn't take too long. 🙂 Most of the process of cutting and ripping I did at a few different times (I bought two books specifically for this purpose) and when I sat down to put it together it took me a few hours. It's about 7 1/2 inches tall. (As tall as the books was.)

I'm sure it would have taken me much longer than a few hours to create something like that. So I applaud you for that. Anyway, it truly is a great piece of art but as beautiful as it is I don't think I would be able to cut up any of my books to try to do something similar... 😛

Haha my sister was kind of upset (not seriously, but you know) watching me tear it apart. But I bought them specifically for that reason, so I didn't actually take a book I had and do that. 🙂
Oh, and I had put it together once before (without glueing or anything), and had taken a picture, so I used that as a guide when I actually went to stick everything together. (I used glue and some little pop-out adhesive things.)
@Shi: I would have been right there with your sister on that. 😛 But the result is so cool, I don't think I can really complain. 😀
