These are all amazing, but I think the fantasy-mousey-creature is my favoritest of the bunch! 🙂

Thank you, Hobbit!

I personally like the mouse, too, Nia. 🙂 The story he belongs in hasn't been written down at all, as I don't even have much of the storyline formulated in my mind yet. All I know is the ultimate ending, and the ideas for a handful of the characters.

Hobbi, do you have any drawing tutorials/tips you could give? 🙂

Well, I'm trying to make some drawing tutorials to put on YouTube, but they aren't coming along very quickly.

But as far as tips go, I think the most important one is to keep drawing, all the time (or most of it anyway). You will naturally get better over time.
Also, don't be afraid to mess up. Keep a few of your old drawings in a drawer or in a folder to look at when you're feeling bad about your work. You'll be like, "Well, at least I'm better than I was!" It's surprisingly encouraging.
Get a couple of really good drawing books. I have two in particular that I love. One walks me through making a sketch off of a reference picture, and one gives me tips on drawing pictures out of my own imagination. I can PM you the titles if you want.
Use photos to get ideas for shading, and observe people and animals in real life for proportions and other little details. For example, one day I noticed that the lower lip casts a little shadow that can be replicated in a sketch by adding a shorter line under the mouth if you're going for a closeup of a face.
As odd as they look, I also use the ball-and-stick skeleton sketches before adding detail. It helps keep things in proportion, especially when I'm drawing out of my own imagination.

That's all I can think of now.

So, I've been working through a 100 Theme Challenge thing lately on one of the art sites I'm on, which has been generating a lot of stuff. Sometimes I go with
a fandom interpretation of the theme-prompt, and sometimes I just draw whatever comes to mind. I think that some of the stuff falls under Original Art and is small
enough to direct-post here...

"Starting a Hoard," for the theme "Socks"
This little guy is why your socks are going missing. 😉

"Yellow"

"White"

Whoooooooa. They're so cool! The whole crosshatch technique looks great! I love-love-love the horse, but that's because I love horses. 😀 The other two are wonderful too!

Thanks. ^_^
Yeah, cross-hatching seems to be one of my default settings these days. 🙂
Glad you like the horse. 🙂 I was aiming for an Arabian, but the face-structure wound up being off? But he still came out ok. 😉 And the swirling mist-layers background on him was inspired by a dream I had.

Ooh, bonus! Arabians are my second-favourite breed. 😀

How do you like Lipizzans?

They live about twice (or one and a half times) as long as other ones. And are closeish to Arabians.

The dragon was so cute, Lily! And I love the horse one, too. 😀 I can't seem to get the breed distinction in my drawings, though...any tips on that?
