I'm late in posting this because it's what I made for Hobbit Day, but I've been too busy to share pics here. These are six gingerbeer donuts, each to pay homage to the five notable hobbits of TH and LotR: the door of Bag End, the One Ring (duh... I think anyone who's made LotR donuts has done this one), hithlain for Sam, a basket of mushrooms for Frodo, Bilbo in a barrel, and (the top part of) a pint for Merry and Pippin.
(The Bag End bracelet was made by a friend of mine.)

And then, since this week is Mystery Series Week, I made cake pops inspired by Moriarty's "IOU" apple in BBC's Sherlock.

I haven't seen doughnut sculptures before, they are nice. The elvish writing is especially well done and your Hobbit Day homage is very creative. I'm glad you shared this!

Okay but how are you so creative like that, Ariel?? I am speechless with amazement right now, they are just so beautiful, all of them. πŸ˜†

@Hermit: Thanks! I haven’t found many like these (excepting the One Ring; the only Bag End one I’ve seen was just icing on a cream-filled donut (ie: similar look, but mine’s more 3D with the sugar cookie and modeling chocolate)), though some people are quite creative with their donuts!

@hobbit: Haha, thank you! For some reason, ever since I’ve been suckered into cake decorating as something fun to do, I’ve gotten ambitious ideas. β€œHow about a Baymax cake with a belly that sticks out?” β€œOoh, doll cake looks fun!” β€œI don’t like fondant. Wonder how well marzipan works....” β€œModeling chocolate Bilbo in a donut barrel!” You’d think I’d limit the ambitious ideas to a hobby I’ve been into longer, like writing or video editing, but here I am, making messes is my kitchen, lol.

You did an amazing job on all of these, Ariel! The only problem with them is that (like Kristi said) they look too beautiful to eat. πŸ˜‰

Thank you, Hobbit!

@Kristi and Nia: Aw, you guys! Bilbo and the door were the toughest to let go of, I'll admit. And, ahem, the Ring too (sss, precious! gollum, gollum).

I've just re-read The Silmarillion. I made some comments about Beren and Luthien's story in the TLC chat, which led to Ajjie and Kristi sparking the following comic.

I'm back with another one, a follow-up to the first 'cause Beren's a cheeky little dude.

Haha, thanks, Hobbit! I’m personally a fan of Beren’s smirk in the first one and Daeron thoroughly enjoying the β€œoffhand” comment in the second.
(Forgot to credit my dad as the one who came up with the β€œoffhand” punchline for me.)
