I thought you guys, of anyone I know, would appreciate this best:
I've got nephews and nieces (aged 6-9) who have recently got into the Narnia books. I couldn't resist the opportunity to put a little magic in their day, so every month I've been sending them a narnia parcel related to a different book in the series. Here's the details:
Each one is addressed to them as 'Sons of Adam/daughters of Eve', with their address, Spare Oom, and contains a cd audiobook of the relevant story. It also has a letter with a narnian crest, and is from a character from the book. I try to write in their style each time.
Each parcel also contains things from the story, too. So far:
MN had toffee tree fruits and roots (apple flavoured toffees really), a feather from Fledge and the magic rings in special boxes.
LWW had aslan masks and aslan notebooks
PC had Susan's horn
VDT had Lord Octesians arm ring and toy dragons
My nephews have worked out it's me sending them, but my niece really believes she is guarding Susan's horn. She has no idea who sent it! I'm having such fun doing this, I'm like a big kid myself!
:O That's such a cool idea!
That is simply brilliant, brilliant beyond words. 😀
😮 !!!!! That is an epic idea!!
You are an AWESOME person 😛 I wanna do that now.
Thanks everyone! Thought you'd like it! I do similar ones every Christmas for my own kids, it's quite addictive.
I'll be doing another one soon, I'll keep you posted!
That is amazing. Thumbs up!
