So Camp NaNoWriMo runs April and July, two separate NaNos, and they're just like the November NaNoWriMo, except you get to choose whether you want to do 50,000 words, or your own goal!
I'm doing it in April and I'm going for 25k -- I know that besides me, Islie, Engee (Arna), Kristi, and Gypsy are in 🙂 anybody else?
I'm going to be working more on my November NaNo project, and also writing some short stories and just generally challenging myself to write more. I haven't written enough recently.
Hi-yah 🙂
I only have a goal of 10,000 because I'm insanely busy right now (probably too busy for Camp NaNo) but I want to keep writing, even if it's only a little bit everyday.
Yeah, I'm set for 25k 🙂 So far I haven't written any full stories or started any new novels. I'm using it to get me writing, to start some plots and just to write. I've written a blog post so far, and an article for Kristi, and something else.... a story. With no plot 😛
My mom does a writing class for homeschoolers, and in July we do our own NaNo. Didn't know there was a summer one. 🙂
That's cool, Berry!
I might join in July. Right now my summer looks like it will be full of scholarship-hunting and babysitting, but hopefully I will be able to grind some words out on the side.
I will totally sign up for camp, as long as we have s'mores and plenty of mosquito repellent. And as long as you don't mind that I am one of those girls who turns puffy every time I touch a flower.
But really, I am in for July. I will probably have to select a more (*shuffles sheepishly* 😳 ) modest goal than 50,000 words. 25,000 to 30,000 might be just about right.
No worries about "modest" goals, Yorick 🙂 A lot of us did less than 50,000 in April (I did 25,000). 🙂 I really enjoyed the flexibility of choosing my own goal. 🙂
I'm thinking about doing Camp NaNo in July, if I can, but I'm not quite sure what my plans are yet. I'm thinking of having a lower wordcount goal this time--maybe 12,000 words? 🙂

I'll probably try for 15k in July. School is in its third week for me now, so I'll be busy. But I can try, right?
🙂
Sounds like we'll have fun! Maybe it will be a good training exercise and I will feel up to more come November.
Well, my adventure in writing starts tomorrow 😉
I am going to try to write 400 words a day for a total of 12,000 by July 30th. As a secondary goal, if I can't get to my word count, I want to write at least everyday for the next 30 days. It will be a good exercise in making time to write.
If any of you are searching for a writing project, you can check out this writing contest that I'll be working on: http://www.rooglewoodpress.com/fairy-tale-collections
Ooh! Looks cool! Oh, for the time and inspiration....
@Yorick: Yay! Our word count goals match! I think 12,000 is a very nice number. 🙂 How's your writing coming so far? I got a tiny bit ahead on Saturday, which is good because I have a very busy week ahead of me and might miss a few days!
@Spree: Oh, neat! I hope you're having fun with that. 🙂 (Coincidentally, my Camp NaNo project, which is a writing project I've been working on for a bit over a year, has Beauty and the Beast as one of two stories it's based on. And... judging by how it's going, it may be another year before it's done! 😆 )
They might not need me but; they might.

@ Happy Islander - I guess Narnian minds think alike 🙂 . I had a tough week so I'm only at 2,400, but I am hoping to catch up tomorrow. Yay for Saturday!
