Best of luck!
Wow, Gypse. You are so much better at this whole thing that I am. I'm currently at 9,000 words. My goal for today is 12,000.
The only writing I'm doing this month is for my PhD. I might enter in what I do write to my total to motivate myself although at the moment I'm doing more reading of literature than writing.
NaNo rebels unite! That's what I did last year on account of moving during NaNo season. 😛
And that's what NaNo is more than anything else, when it comes down to it - a motivation tool. No matter whether you hit the goal or not, it's still that much more than you had at the start of the month. Whether you're on-goal, above it, or below it, you're still writing, and that's nothing to sneeze at. So cheers to all of y'all! I'm still a tad behind myself, but there's plenty more month yet in which to catch up.
...oh hi, everybody. Long time no see. 😉
I finally caught up to the NaNo-planned schedule! 😀
...........which is encouraging. Last year I only made it to 1,675 total. 🙄 But I wrote 4,000 words today. I might have gotten to 5,000 words but I crashed into a big old chunk of writer's block.
Yo, Pet 🙂 good to see you.
I broke 2000! ... Wow. 😛
Okay, so I've run up against a sort of wall. I'm writing a compilation of legends about a character for my novel this time (kind of like the King Arthur legends), and although I'm not even halfway through, I'm beginning to feel like I've gotten into a rut because it's more or less become a battle-rescue-quest-battle-rescue-quest pattern.
Sooooo does anyone have any suggestions as to what a squirrel knight could be doing with his time? 😛
Looking for hazelnuts and acorns too?
😆 Well, if it would help to give a couple of examples I already have, he's fighting a "dragon" (an owl) in one story, and traveling down a road that is said to have no end in another.
Since he is a squirrel, some story should INVOLVE his looking for hazelnuts or acorns.
Like his getting trapped while doing so, or meeting someone and chattering while doing so or ... you get the picture.
Oh, that's true. I'll try to involve that into one of the stories.
