Was out in public today and thought I heard the line 'turned to stone' in a song.
MLIN
Also heard a song I only recognized from a Narnia music video.
MLIN
Was reading something that involved the name "Edison", which I shortened to "Ed" in my mind, which automatically meant that I started thinking about Edmund. MLIN.
Just listened to Peter Hollen's newest cover ("19 You and Me"), which is a love song involving a beautiful blonde and a beach. Didn't take long for me to translate the song over to Caspian and Lilliandil.... MLIN.
I saw a Nutcracker poster with the print for the word Nutcracker was like the words "The Lion, The witch, and the wardrobe." ๐ Innnnnn The LTWTW! ๐ (Am I making sense?) ๐
@ cor: You're making sense...mostly.
There's a Christmas-themed store that has an entire section filled with artificial Christmas trees and fake snow. I always feel like I'm in Lantern Waste when I go there. MLIN
When I saw that one of the Hobbit soundtracks was called "The Edge of the World" I immediately thought of VoDT. MLIN
@hobbit Thank you! ๐
I was being grumpy yesterday and slouching in the corner of our couch and I got called Edmund by one sibling and a grumpy Narnian dwarf by another! MLIRN! ๐
@ cor: You're welcome. ๐
Saw a dead snake . When I touched its tail with a stick, though, the tail started wriggling! Thought of the LOTGK still moving after she was killed, and freaked out. MLIN.
Walked into a second-hand store and immediately noticed four "fur" coats. MLIN.
Okay, so I've been on a camp, and here are some of the Narnian things I noticed:
When we were driving in, the branches scratched against the windows of the bus, and I felt like they were dryads coming out to say hello. MLIN
One night, we slept in tents in a valley-like campsite. When I looked down from the top of the hill, I thought instantly "This would make a great set for a Narnia film!" MLIN.
When I was on the flying fox, I was tempted to yell "For Narnia! And for Aslan!" But I didn't actually. MLIN
One of the guys made a bow with a stick and some string, and I pretended to be Susan. MLIN.
When we were out at a campfire, I looked up and saw thousands of stars sprinkled across the sky (beautiful!) and I thought of what Aslan said to Eustace: "Even in your world, child, that is not what a star is, but only what it is made up of." MLIN
When we were on the bus back home, I was almost crying because I missed the campsite so much (still do). And the song "The Call" kept playing in my head. Or, more specifically these words: "I'll come back when you call me. No need to say goodbye."
Also, when I got back, I had a bit more of an understanding of what the Pevensie children would have felt when they were told that they were never going to return to Narnia. MLIN
Friday night, I was in a very small town with much less light than where I live, so I was able to see the stars more clearly than I have in a while. I thought of the stars coming out at Narnia's creation, Ramandu, Lilliandil, Coriakin, that lovely shot in VDT when Ed and Caspian are looking up at the stars. MLIN.
And I noticed three bright stars kind of close-ish looking that made a sort of loose curve. I couldn't remember if that was a constellation I was looking at, so I wondered if it was the pegasus. Which got me thinking of Fledge. MLIN.
While I was reading Mere Christianity, there were several bits that made me think of Narnia. Can't remember them all, but they all made me smile... okay, so grin broadly. MLIN.
Saw the beginning of Prince Caspian on a TV and recognized it by the rushing of nighttime leaves and two lines of white (those being opening credit names, but I was too far away to see which ones). MLIN.
Was at my Uncle and Aunt's house watching TV and LWW started playing! MLIN
Tonight my brothers had a Trail Life meeting and the higher ranks got their standards/staffs, and then they all had to hold the standards up and I thought, "For Narnia! And for Aslan!" MLIN. And my non-Narnian friends think I'm crazy.
I found myself running my back on a place that I loved and I know that I'll probably never get back. And then I caught myself thinking, "Don't be like Susan!" MLIN
A fellow Narnia fan said to me last week, "You're a brick." I smiled both for the compliment and the Narnianess of it. MLIN
Had a dream (last night, actually) where the green mist starred as the bad guy. ๐ MLIN
EDIT: Saw the Piano Guys latest video and immediately noticed the lion statues in the background of the Dark Knight trilogy part. Thought of Aslan. MLIN
Okay, so these have kind of been accumulated over the past week or so....
Watched Beauty and the Beast and compared Adam's transformation to and from Beast to Eustace's own beastly experience. Also compared the magic mirror to the eavesdropping spell Lucy used.
Was mentally singing "My Favourite Things" from The Sound of Music and associated "brown paper packages tied up with string" with Tumnus.
Had a strawberry yogurt, said "strawberry" in a cockney accent, and ended up thinking of Frank and Fledge.
Someone I know bought books from Harper Collins, which I immediately associated with the Narnia books.
Noted that someone on ff has written a Narnia/Winter Soldier crossover and squeed on the inside at the idea (it sounds very interesting, promising, and fitting).
Watched LWW for the first time in about two years. ( Yeah, I know. It's bad.) Had all sorts of feels throughout the whole thing. ๐
I was having dinner with my mother and big sister, and my sister said "soz", and mum said that she couldn't understand the logic behind that. I was sitting there thinking: "Logic! Bless me! What do they teach at these schools?!" MLIN
