So this happened like 3 years ago...but...my friend and I went to a kid's learning museum place because...what exhibit were they having on display? NARNIA! One of the best experiences of my life. We saw and touched THE wardrobe from the movie. The lamppost was there, The Book of Incantations, Eustace's Diary (which we desperately wanted to read ๐ ), all the costumes from the movies, and countless other things. It was AMAZING. MLIN.
Also, when I was elementary age, at church they were having a huge Narnia theme for about 2 months. We watched LWW over like 6 weeks. Those were my pre-Narnia days, but I can look back at it now and realize how AWESOME that was! I still have the Narnia map I got there and the recipe for Turkish Delight. ๐
@Hobbit: I wish EVERYONE on TLC could go there. I was thinking that when I was there. ๐ I'm not really sure where it is, it's secluded and at this retreat place that someone owns. I think when I grow up I'm going to own a Narnia shop...
@Cor: Awesome! She did a really good job acting in that!
Went to our writer's club costume party today. I went as Jill and my brother went as Eustace. MLIN
@ QJ: You touched the actual Narnia wardrobe??????
@QJ: I missed the Narnia exhibition. *weeps a little inside* MLIN
I saw a truck that said TLC and freaked out! I did a double take on it at first! MLIN
Was listening to the news on the radio and thought I heard about Hurricane Glozelle...I'm not sure what it really is, but I'm positive it can't be that! (Although it would be a very fitting name for a hurricane...) MLIN
Was in history class learning about Plato's teachings and thought of the Professor's quote in LB. MLIN
Was watching Return to Nim's Island and the boy's name was Edmund. MLIN.
Whenever I go to a bookstore I hunt down the Narnia books...and usually buy one, even though I already have multiple copies. ๐ MLIN.
@Hobbit: Yep, the actual wardrobe. ๐ ๐ ๐
@Ariel: I've been really wishing they would do the Narnia exhibition again!
@ QJ: If they were to do that exhibition again I would get somebody to take me there and have a whole day of dying of total, blissful happiness!
At homeopathy class there was a lady that looked almost identical to Prunaprismia. I obviously didn't tell her that, though. MLIN
Found a site called uncle-andrew.net. Laughed because whoever made it was serious. MLIN
@Hobbit: I know right! ๐
Today I saw a painting in a store that looked so much like the part in the PC movie when Lucy is walking through the tunnel of trees. The frame was made of wood, just like the painting in VDT. I stared at it for a good five minutes. MLIN.
Saw a lamppost on the cover of a book and I had to take a look at it.
MLIN
I saw a sign that said Silver...something. and I just assumed it said Silver Chair!
The song "Symphony" by Josh Wilson makes me think of Narnia's creation in particular (namely, Aslan's solo and the stars' joining in). MLIN
Ooh! *is going to look up that song*
Saw an advertisement for an Autumn Fest. Of course, I misread it as "Autumn Feast" and wondered what they'd be serving! MLIN
I just made the Fest/Feast mistake myself. MLIN
I just read the lyrics to Symphony. (I haven't heard it yet, but it looks cool!) *tries to get Youtube to work and gets frustrated when it--again!--doesn't*
Always have thought of Aslan when I see the roaring lion at the beginning of MGM movies. MLIN
That's irritating. The song is very nice, though honestly, the lyrics themselves communicate my MLIN moment sufficiently. ๐
Haha, me too!
So, earlier today, I was thinking of another story I know about royal twins separated at infanthood. Though the story is totally different aside from the prince-and-the-pauper situation, I very quickly started comparing these twins with Cor and Corin. MLIN
