Here's a poem I wrote , what is it now? Two years ago... wow. Well anyways I wrote this for an English assignment/contest in the class right before my English period. So it's meter isn't the best, but hopefully you can still enjoy it:
Bliss
Oh what bliss it must have been
To do nothing and yet do everything
To see places most have never seen
To carelessly dance and carelessly sing
To go on adventures in a tiny yard
Pretending a dog is a very evil dragon,
A teddy bear the valiant Royal Guard,
And the horse? Of course, a wagon!
To have fun, shiny yellow boots in puddles
Getting soaked, with a brilliant smile
Back later in a cozy home, a blanket there to cuddle
Sleeping soundly, dreaming sweet dreams for a long while
To be satisfied with what now seems little
Playing games with such plain toys
Going on long trips, happily in the middle
Gazing at the cotton-y clouds with wondrous joys
To go to school without one worry
Being the good friend to anyone and everyone
Doing things without rush or hurry
Swinging, jumping, running under the sun
To know without a shadow of a doubt
Seeing by faith and not by sight
Able to explain what something is about
Even if it proves someone isn't right
Oh what bliss it must have been
To do nothing and yet do everything
To see places most have never seen
To carelessly dance and carelessly sing

Well everyone has their own style of writing, that doesn't make it good or bad. And I'm sure you have written a bunch of wonderful poetry. This is honestly the only poem not Narnia/Middle-Earth related that I have written. (You should post your poem, I am sure everyone would like to read it). 🙂
