Let Me Walk
Standing before the Council,
the fire of the Spirit burning within,
Stephen didn't even tremble.
He spoke the Word, and for that they stoned him.
O Lord, let me walk in their footsteps.
O Lord, let me follow their ways,
because I know where their focus was kept:
In You I will trust, though I am slain.
Standing before Agrippa,
though he was chained, Your fire yet burned.
Paul almost won the king of Judah,
in such a short time, so much had he learned.
O Lord, let me walk in their footsteps.
O Lord, let me follow their ways,
because I know where their focus was kept:
In You I will trust, though I am slain.
And how could I forget
Jesus Christ Himself,
Who on the cross said,
“Father, forgive them; they know not what they do!”
O Lord, let me walk in Your footsteps.
O Lord, let me follow Your ways,
because I know where Your focus was kept:
In You I will trust, though I am slain.
O Lord, let me walk in their footsteps.
O Lord, let me follow their ways,
because I know where their focus was kept:
In You I will trust, though I am slain.
I just read a number of your poems. They're really good! You should make them into songs.
Thank you, Hobbit! Actually, most of them are songs, but I just don't have the music written down yet.
