So I mentioned in the prayer thread that my Mom is coming for a visit next week and over Easter. I'm very excited because it's her first time coming to stay with me since Covid days. (I've spent lots of holidays with my family since then, but she hasn't been here since Sept 2019). I've finally bought a second bed for my flat (which was kinda fun - just a wooden base frame and a spare matress I already had, but so proud of myself for deciding and aranging it all on my own).
I've also been wanting a table lamp for my Spare Oom and while I was looking for lamps, I found the perfect lamp.
(Will add a picture when I figure out how to resize files on my phone).

Increasingly nervous about potential future house. There are other fish in the sea I know but I'm really attached to this one. :/
But I did just get a care package off to one of my long distance friends, and I have a big pot of beef and bean chili simmering in anticipation of supper. 🙂 So I have some good stuff to focus on in the meantime.

So I just submiterd my first academic journal article in years to a potential journal! Been workig on it for a long time too, though striving to get it finished the last few weeks.

Lily, I hope your move goes smoothly, that the packing and unpacking and dealing with All.those.boxes! is not too stressful, and that you give yourself time to be kind to yourself and *not* feel the need to be consistently productive... Sometimes it is good to just pause and look out the window or take a walk so you can process all the emotions surrounding *leaving* vs. *putting down new roots.*
I'm happy that my sister and her family had visted me and my dad (and younger bro). It was a good family reunion.
