So I've just watched the trailers and clips available for Doctor Strange (pretty much because I'm bored). Cumberbatch describes the character as being arrogant, brilliant, extraordinary, and driven by a need to control fate, destiny, and even death. *scratches head* So... Sherlock as a magic-wielding surgeon is the image I'm getting. 😛

The Ancient One (played by the White Witch - I mean... Tilda Swinton - is described by the actress as "Sorceress Supreme", while in another video Cumberbatch calls hi character "Sorcerer Supreme". So I'm wondering if she's gonna die or if she will otherwise pass the baton to him. Mentor characters die a lot, right?

Also, just thought I'd say that with the introduction of Doctor Strange characters in a mobile game, there is a /lot/ of mysticism going on. (The game also introduced two half-demon hero characters. I doubt they're in the movie, but just in case....)

Saw that you said you were still on the first season, just wait till the second. You shall feel all the feels. I think the first half of the second season is my fave of the series but I also really like the first half of the third. This season is going along good, but I think we lost a lot of momentum because of the break between eps.
Speaking of... the winter finale. I thought it was lacking in some areas but that ending. Wow. Kinda figured that's where things were headed with her, but I am not happy about what she did. Next part of the series is going to be something, that's for sure. Anyway, looks like a certain ship is now a thing, hehe. Oh! And a Slingshot web series is coming the 13th! 6 parts to it, I think.

i just finished season one today.
the feels.
i have been destroyed.
but before i just start screaming about this one episode, let's backtrack, shall we?

the first episode hooked me in right away. the characters were amazing, the nuanced little things that were said and done made me go crazy with curiousity, and fitzsimmons was just beautiful. i loved mike peterson and his son, i thought skye was cool, and, um, do i even need to explain how i feel about melinda may? she is literally the bomb.
i thought there were some unnecessary things in episode 5, but thought raina was awesome.
episode 6 gave me all the feels. i re-watched it twice (2 more times than i've rewatched any other episode.) the fitzsimmons was so feelsy. (i really like fitzsimmons. they are otp.)
i really liked episode 7. ward/fitz became my favorite bromance after that.
my mom was very rattled by episode 8. VERY rattled. i just thought it was awesome when coulson freaking shoved his hand inside of that asgardian's chest to keep his heart pumping.
we skipped most of epispde 9. mom doesn't like anything demonic. did i miss anything important from that episode?
episode 11 was crazy. i can't believe they did that to coulson. i still thought that raina was so cool. (tbh raina is probably my favorite character.)
i really liked episode 12 and look forward to (hopefully) seeing donny again.
i LOVED the storytelling method of episode 13. i ended up fangirling over the writers of this show. :facpalm:
i thought that parts of episode 15 were unnecessary but overall SIF. I LOVE SIF. SIF IS GREAT. :screams loudly:
we watched the rest of the series in three different binge-watching episodes so i'm not sure which episode was which, but: hydra was in shield??? agent garrett was hydra??? ward was hydra??? who on this freaking show ISN'T hydra??? the rest of my family thought that agent hand was hydra but i didn't think so and now i'm very proud of myself for being right (that doesn't happen a lot.) my mom was apparently so distraught by the fact that ward was hydra that she texted one of my friends (who is obsessed with the show) to freak out about it. XD
so now for the official season-finale-freak-out: OH MY GOSH GARRETT WHAT THE HECK YOU'RE CRAZY AND THEN YOU WERE DEAD AND THEN YOU WEREN'T DEAD AND THEN YOU WERE AGAIN. RAINA I WANT YOU TO JOIN SHIELD SO I DON'T HAVE TO BE SAD THAT YOU'RE MY FAVORITE CHARACTER. AND SKYE'S PARENTS? WHAT? I WANT ANSWERS. BUT THE FITZSIMMONS ON THAT EPISODE KILLED ME I LOVE FITZ SO MUCH I CAN'T EVEN. HE IS AMAZING. :SOBS IN ALL CAPS: SIMMONS IS ADORABLE AND I LOVE HER TOO.

so yeah.

That was basically my reaction when I first watched it lol. Loved the FitzSimmons dynamic in season one. And Fitz is the absolute best as you'll see in this next season and since you like him so much, it'll probably give you too many feels. Everytime it gets me. Every. Single. Time.
Currently, I have reservations about the ship, but that is just me being over analytical, so I may come around to it again if I find my feelings unfounded, which they likely are.

No demonic content? Season four is a no-go for you then, sorry. Ghost Rider is literally demon-possessed, even if the theology is flaky at best.
Donny...? Is that the ice kid? Sorry, never see him again. I've been waiting for him and Franklin Hall, but the seem to have forgotten they ever happened. Which is interesting because Franklin Hall is a force to be reckoned with, based on the second episode of Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes....
Sif is cool.
Yeeeees, Hydra in SHIELD. Captain America: The Winter Soldier (the film that made the huge Hydra reveal) killed the official "Agents of SHIELD" aspect of the show, but the show improved by a great deal as a result of it. 😀

I'll agree with Ela that the development of Fitz really steps up in the second season (actually, they all do), but the title of "Ariel's favourite" never belonged to him. But I totally thank him for being one of the reasons I love another character as much as I do.

Okay, honest moment here. I fangirled before the company logos showed up. And then momentum kinda rollercoastered from there. I think it could turn out to be very interesting, but I do have to hold on to that fear that this will be so-so or bad, just because superhero movies have done that to me enough times. Though the somewhat coming-of-age/ proving himself angle seems promising, though I gotta wonder, since Iron Man dragged him into Civil War. Also, his costume, what, auto zips or something? Anyway. I can't believe I'm this ready for a Spidey movie.... *watches trailer again*

EDIT AGAIN: Yup, that "her". I was worried before it was confirmed that maybe Ela was referring to two other potential "her" problems, but the one I freaked out about happened. Called it. I knew it, I knew it, I knew it! I just... didn't see that coming. O_O So the question is... how long?!

Ah Radcliffe and Fitz, just couldn't see that happening, could you? Wonder what those two, particularly Fitz because of his tendencies, will do and how they'll react. Looks promising enough and we won't have to wait too long for it.

Of course they didn't. But neither did a certain somebody else who did it in the movies.

@feather: I don't remember "demon-possessed" being actually uttered, but other words make it very, very clear. He says several times that he makes a deal with the devil, one ep makes it clear that the demon refuses to return to Hell, someone calls Ghost Rider an angel and he says, "No, I'm the other guy", stuff like that.

@Ariel: That's her comic book name. 🙂
I wonder if it was because she wasn't AI but after the book, she gained some new knowledge, hence the brain thing at the end of the last ep. Oh! And then there was the pain she felt, which likely contributed.
